Free community forum and training for health professionals on Lymphoedema. Lymphoedema (lymphedema) occurs when the lymphatic system does not work properly. This results in the long-term swelling of part or parts of the body. Lymphoedema greatly impacts on the quality of life for cancer patients and their carers.
The Border Wellness Clinic will commence in October 2008 and aims to improve access to supportive care for women living with gynaecological cancers
The project aims to improve access for cancer patients to lymphoedema support and enhance opportunites for training for allied health practitioners.
